There is no way for me to fall back to an earlier version of the iOS. One side note. When I first plugged in my iPad to the TV it did display my iPad presentation for a few seconds and then it went to 'No signal' on the TV. Yet with Ipad Mini runing on IOS 8.0.2 it does not work and this only occurred after upgrading to IOS 8.0.2. It's not adapter it self as it works perfectly with second Ipad Mini I have in my family which is not upgraded ot IOS 8. Test have been done on same video, TV, HDMI cable and adapter. The only difference are IPad’s with different IOS on them, hence to me it's software problem which need fixing. Tried doing points recommended by troubleshooting pages and it’s still where it was Ipad Mini IOS 8 does not work with adapter. As a matter of interest tried on my IPhone 6 plus and it does not work either. I could not agree more. I have been fearful for some time that after the passing of Steve Jobs, Apple would once again start to decline in the quality of their products. I Believe you are correct. I upgraded to iOS 8.02 and I still have the same problem. When I first attach the iPad to the TV it works but after a second it stops working. I think the the iOS is designed to reject my adapter. I'm not sure if it is a real Apple adapter or not. I bought it in China. I Don't understand why Apple would care about an external device.
